Flight From Sacramento To Seattle Diverted Because Of Disruptive Passenger

SEATTLE (CBS13) - A Seattle-bound flight from Sacramento was diverted to Portland after a passenger, who was reportedly drunk, caused a disturbance.

Alaska Airlines flight 800 left Sacramento International Airport on Monday night with 162 people on board.  About 200 miles away from Portland, the intoxicated passenger, who was seated in row 9, was confronted by the flight crew and told to calm down. That's when he became agitated and locked himself in the restroom, according to an Alaskan Airlines spokesperson.

The pilot landed the plane in Portland where police boarded the plane and took the man into custody.

The flight reached Seattle about one hour and 45 minutes later than scheduled.
