2 Teens Arrested For Spraying Racist Graffiti At High School
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Los Angeles authorities say they've arrested two students after finding racist graffiti at their high school.
The Los Angeles Times reports that someone who lives near Palisades Charter High School spotted the graffiti on a sign and an iconic mural Sunday evening.
Police found spray-painted symbols and phrases that referenced the Ku Klux Klan, Jews, African Americans and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people across the 11-acre campus. They also found graffiti at a bus stop, on the sidewalk and on trees.
Los Angeles police have not released the identity of the arrested students, who are both younger than 18.
PCHS Principal Pamela Magee says the school does not tolerate hate speech.
