Bumble Bee Issues Voluntary Recall Of Chunk Light Tuna

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Bumble Bee Foods has issued a voluntary recall of three of its canned tuna products due to possible problems with the packing process.

The company says that the problems, which stem from a facility not owned or operated by Bumble Bee, could lead to the food spoiling, possibly leading to serious illness if the food is eaten. No illnesses have been reported yet, Bumble Bee says.

Three specific UPC codes, a production run of about 31,579 cases, of their Chunk Light tuna are affected by the recall. The following table describes which products are affected:

People who bought the products are asked to throw them away and can call Bumble Bee at (888) 820-1947 for info on reimbursement.
