San Juan Unified Holds First Teacher Job Fair In Over A Decade

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) -- With a statewide teacher shortage, and competition from other districts for teaching candidates, San Juan Unified Schools held it's first Teacher Job Fair in over a decade on Saturday.

According to Katie Combs of San Juan Unified School, the district is looking to fill over 100 openings and said that while they didn't have a specific goal for the job fair, they were very happy with the turnout.

The district is looking for candidates with a California Preliminary or Professional Clear teaching credential, as well as those with out of state credentials and those who have experience in a teaching intern program and they say they are excited to find new candidates for a variety of both teaching, and non teaching positions and a full list as well as online application are available at the district website.
