Fire Crews Recover Body Of Drowning Victim In Oakdale Reservoir

OAKDALE (CBS13) -- Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District and Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department recovered the body of a drowning victim in Woodward Reservoir on Sunday.

According to Stanislaus Consolidated Fire, first responders were able to the victim below the surface of the water, and then pulled them out of the water.  Crews attempted to resuscitate the victim but were unsuccessful.

This is the first drowning of the year at the Woodward Reservoir.
