Suspect In String Of Gropings At Cosumnes River College Arrested

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities say they have made an arrest in the case of an alleged serial groper at Cosumnes River College.

The Los Rios Police Department says 37-year-old Larry Monte Davis was arrested on campus on Wednesday. Officers say they spotted Davis following a woman on campus and confronted him.

Davis allegedly became combative when confronted by officers, but he was soon taken into custody.

Looking into his history, police found Davis had a number of prior sexual battery charges out of the Los Angeles area.

"It's a relief to finally have this guy in custody," said Los Rios Police Capt. Chris Day in a release.

Los Rios police say the sexual batteries have been going on since April, but police have been investigating other attacks on women at Cosumnes River College since October.

In an incident on Tuesday, a woman reported that she was followed to her car and groped.

Davis is not a student at Cosumnes River College or any other in the Los Rios district.
