Investigators Seek Missing Vallejo Teen's Backpack, More Clues

VALLEJO (CBS13) - Detectives are asking for more help in trying to retrace the steps after a Vallejo teen's abduction.

The Solano County Sheriff's Office says crews have searched numerous areas - including the Glen Cove, Skaggs Island and along Highway 37 - for missing 15-year-old Pearl Pinson to no avail. Crews also searched near the small coastal town of Jenner due to information from suspect Fernando Castro's cellphone, but no sign of Pinson was found.

Traffic cameras spotted Castro's car in three places in the Bay Area on May 26: at 9:13 a.m. westbound on Interstate 580 on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, at 9:20 a.m. near Sir Frances Drake Boulevard in Marin County, and southbound on the Golden Gate Bridge at 9:35 a.m.

Investigators are asking businesses and individuals with surveillance cameras to check if they may have spotted Castro's gold-colored Saturn between May 25 to the 26.

Investigators are also looking for a backpack Pinson is believed to have had when she was abducted. Anyone who may have found a backpack matching the description is asked to contact authorities immediately.

Anyone with relevant information in Pinson's disappearance is asked to call investigators at (707) 784-1963.
