Calaveras Wildfire Fully Contained, 83 Acres Burned
10:30 a.m. Thursday Update: Firefighters have fully contained the fire which burned south of the Camanche Reservoir.
The fire burned a total of 83 acres before it was contained.
Crews are continuing to mop up the scene.

CALAVERAS COUNTY (CBS13) – Crews are battling a growing fire near the Camanche Reservoir.
The scene is off of Cheyenne Way, just southeast of the Camanche Reservoir in Calaveras County. Cal Fire first reports the fire started a little after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The fire has grown to 80 acres. The fire was initially thought to be over 200 acres, but updated fire mapping by authorities showed the fire wasn't as large as originally thought.
About a dozen homes were evacuated in the rural farm area, and two outbuildings were destroyed. The home at the ranch was spared by the efforts of firefighters. No animals were injured.
The fire was sparked by a lawnmower.
