Mayor Johnson Could Be In Court Friday Over Email Lawsuit

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Mayor Kevin Johnson could be in court on Friday over emails requested from a local newspaper more than a year ago.

The Sacramento News and Review filed a public records request last July for the emails and says Johnson still hasn't released all of them.

Johnson's now suing to keep them private.

At question is how the mayor spent time and taxpayer money in his plan to take over the National Conference of Black Mayors.

It is unclear if Johnson will be in court on Friday, or just his attorney.
