NEWCASTLE (CBS13) – Placer County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man wanted for killing his girlfriend after they say he ambushed them at a Newcastle cemetery.
Deputies were led to the cemetery after they found a woman dead in an apartment in Auburn.

“The deputies started to dialogue with that individual, and subsequent to that [the suspect] Daniel Espinoza started firing at deputies from afar,” said Lt. Troy Sander from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Nobody was hurt.
Deputies eventually took Espizona into custody.
