East Bay Rapper Keak Da Sneak Arrested After Leading Police On Chase

HERCULES (CBS13) - A rapper known for his Hyphy hits was arrested over the weekend after leading police on a chase in the Bay Area.

Charles Kente Williams, known as "Keak Da Sneak," was apparently driving his 1988 Ford Mustang near Hercules when an officer tried to pull him over. Police say Williams wouldn't yield, however, and instead led officers on a quarter-mile chase.

The chase ended when Williams lost control of his car. Officers say Williams tried to get out and run to an apartment, but he was arrested.

Williams is facing charges of driving on a suspended license and evading officers.

In a post to his official Instagram account, Williams' manager confirmed that Keak Da Sneak was arrested after leading police on a chase.

"Keak is not at all proud of the actions that took place but is very thankful that he was able to walk away from the situation with his life," according to the post.

Williams had a string of hits in the early 2000s and was featured on E-40s 2006 hit "Tell Me When To Go."
