Activist Accused Of Hitting Mayor Johnson With Pie May Sue

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The attorney for the man who hit Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson in the face with a pie is considering suing the mayor for fighting back.

Sean Thompson was in court Tuesday for his bail hearing. He's facing felony charges after attacking Johnson during a farm to fork event at the mayor's high school alma-mater.

Thompson's attorney Claire White says her client is planning to make a statement at tonight's Sacramento city council meeting and says Thompson may sue Johnson for punching him in the face.

"We still need to collect the medical documentation for my clients hospital visit to access the severity of his injuries," White said.

Thompson will be back in court for his preliminary hearing on Oct. 20.
