Man Buys $1 Million Lottery Ticket After Letting Rude Customer Cut In Line

A New Zealand man is attributing his lottery jackpot win last week to "good karma" after someone cut in line at the cashier and he chose to just let it slide without saying anything.

The unidentified man told the New Zealand Herald he was standing in line at the Lotto shop when someone stepped in front of him. Rather than get angry at the shopper, he held his tongue, saying he wasn't in a hurry.

A few days later, the man checked his lottery numbers and found that he'd won the $1 million jackpot.

He says he and his wife will use the money to buy a home.

A Lottery New Zealand spokesperson says his order in line didn't matter since the ticket sales and live draw are completely random.
