Kings Send Rookies To Reno, Rumors Arise Of Cauley-Stein Trade

The Sacramento Kings sent its three first-round picks from the 2016 NBA Draft down to the Reno Bighorns following the team's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Georgios Papagiannis, Skal Labissiere and Malachi Richardson have combined for just 29 minutes on the court in the first 10 games of the season.

The three rookies are expected to get a lot of playing time in the D-League.

Sacramento is also reportedly shopping second-year player Willie Cauley-Stein. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Kings are "open to moving the second-year big man, who wants more of a role than he has under new Kings coach Dave Joerger."

Cauley-Stein is averaging just under 15 minutes per game during his sophomore season, after averaging over 21 minutes in his rookie year.

The Kings have an abundance of big men on the roster with DeMarcus Cousins, Kosta Koufos, Anthony Tolliver and Cauley-Stein splitting time at the power forward and center positions.

Sacramento selected Cauley-Stein with the sixth overall pick in the 2015 draft.
