Twitter Reacts To Conor McGregor And Historic UFC 205 Card

On Saturday night, UFC 205 went down in the history books for several reasons.

"Sitting here tonight, we broke every record in UFC history tonight. Every record," said UFC President Dana White at the post fight press conference.

According to MMA News,  Not only did the card break every UFC record to date with 1.65 million pay-per-view buys, but it broke Madison Square Garden records as well.

The Historic venue was packed with 20,427 fans and a gate of $17.7 million. It shattered the previous record of $13.5 million, which was was set in 1999 by a boxing match between Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield.

Despite the astonishing numbers from Saturday, the star of the show was, without a doubt, Conor McGregor.

The featherweight champion made history by knocking out lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, capturing a second belt. It is the first time in history that a fighter has simultaneously held two titles at once.

Needless to say, Twitter exploded in the wake of the Irish superstar's success. Check out our favorite reactions below:
