Woman Killed In Folsom After High-Speed Chase

A woman is dead in Folsom after she slammed her car into a beauty salon.

Around 3 a.m., a Sacramento County sheriff's deputy ran a check on the license plate of the vehicle the woman was driving and it came back as stolen, according to a sheriff's department spokesperson.

When the deputy attempted the pull the driver over, the woman reportedly began to speed up, allegedly leading deputies on a chase through several cities. At times, her speed reportedly topped 100 mph.

The chase continued into Folsom where the woman lost control of the car and crashed into a beauty salon on Sutter Street.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released. She is said to be in her 20s.
