Health Officials Hope Long Weekend Helps Stem Norovirus Outbreak

WOODLAND (CBS13) – Several schools in Yolo County reopened Tuesday morning after a Norovirus outbreak sickened thousands of kids and staff.

School officials used the long Memorial Day weekend to finish even more cleaning before the students returned.

More than 3,000 school children, parents and school staffers were sickened by the outbreak.

Yolo County officials said nearly a third of the school population countywide was affected.
