CACHE CREEK (CBS13)- A six-year-old boy and his father are in critical condition tonight after falling 40 feet down a cliff in an ATV accident.

The helicopter rescue was captured on video by California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Air Operations on Sunday at Cache Creek.

When units arrived around 2:30 p.m., they located an ATV. The riders were transported to UC Davis Medical Center by a Reach air ambulance.

The collision is being investigated by CHP’s Woodland division.

  1. 40 feet? It’s a miracle either one has breath.. Many have lost their lives after a 10 foot drop.

  2. cameras there, and no video of what they drove off of? Fail.
