Sacramento is the Farm-to-Fork Capital and that means area restaurants serve the very best dishes made from the freshest ingredients possible. But, oftentimes, when parents browse the kids’ menu in search of a healthy and delicious option for their beloved little ones, menus stop at burgers, chicken fingers, and hotdogs. Skip the menus that lack creativity and instead consider visiting one of these eateries that serve steamed vegetables, rotisserie chicken plates, mac ‘n’ cheese, and even wood-fired pizzas with fresh veggies and other toppings that will leave even the most pickiest of eaters satisfied.READ MORE: Police: 8 Molotov Cocktails Found In Car Of West Sacramento Arson Suspect

When a restaurant pays attention to the details, parents very much appreciate it. Take Paesanos for example. This Midtown restaurant knows that the wait in between courses can be the time when a child becomes fussy or bored and sometimes this can cause a meltdown even before the main entrees arrive. But, not at Paesanos where the friendly waiting staff will seat a family and immediately give their little ones a fresh ball of pizza dough to mash, stretch and roll into their own master creations to keep everyone happy. The baked bocce balls are delicious starters for the entire family dusted in parmesan cheese and parsley and served with marinara sauce. There are also small and large pizzas with a variety of toppings like prosciutto, salami and mozzarella topped with basil, oregano and parmesan cheese to be shared table side.
