Sacramento City Unified School District Offers Contract Proposal

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento City Unified School District said Friday it's proposing a new teacher contract to help avoid a labor dispute.

The district is requesting a limit on contribution to health insurance premiums, as well as an earlier school start date, and calls for more negotiations with the union.

The union called Friday's announcement a "publicity stunt."

The contracts expired in June after negotiations began back in November of 2018.
