Crews Clean Up Mess After RV, Tomato Truck Crash On I-80 Near Davis
DAVIS (CBS13) – It was a messy morning in Davis after an RV and a tomato truck collided – sending tomatoes all across the freeway.
The crash happened just after 11 p.m. Monday on eastbound Interstate 80, near Mace Boulevard.
The heavy mess of spilled tomatoes and debris from the crash caused lanes to be closed for nearly four hours while crews cleaned up the scene.
All lanes in the area are now back open.
Some minor injuries were reported in the crash.
