Grass Fire Along I-5 Near Sutterville Road Backs Up Traffic

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A grass fire that burned along southbound I-5 near Sutterville is heavily affecting traffic, Sacramento Fire said.

Crews on the scene said the fire has been extinguished but there is still heavy smoke in the area.

The fire started at approximately 3:40 p.m. and grew to burn 500 feet of vegetation in the area.

Sacramento Fire said it is unknown how long to clear the area.

Traffic delays are to be expected until then.
