Large Sinkhole Appears On Turlock Road
TURLOCK (CBS13) – City crews are working on a sinkhole that has appeared along a major Turlock street on Thursday.
The sinkhole and underground erosion is happening on W. Tuolumne Road and N. Golden State Boulevard.
Officials believe the sinkhole is related to a ruptured sewer line that runs under the road.
Aside from the damage to the road, Turlock police say no other damage or injuries as a result of the sinkhole have been reported.
City of Turlock crews are now at the scene evaluating the best way to deal with it.
W. Tuolumne Road between N. Golden State Boulevard and N. Tully Road is closed for the time being. It's unclear how long that stretch will be closed.
