Magnitude-3.9 Quake Jolts South Bay; Felt Into San Joaquin Valley

MORGAN HILL (CBS13) – A small earthquake jolted the South Bay region late last night.

The US Geological Survey says a 3.9-magnitude earthquake hit just outside of Morgan Hill about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

It was initially reported as a 4.1, but was downgraded.

Some people in Santa Clara say it shook their house for several seconds.

According to the USGS shake map, the quake was felt into the Sacramento/San Joaquin valley.

There has been no word on any damage.
