STOCKTON (CBS13) — The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was a deputy-involved shooting in Stockton Monday evening.

The shooting happened on Pock Lane at Montclair Street. Officials say the shooting involved one deputy and one subject.

According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy came across a subject that appeared to be armed on Pock Lane, so the deputy opened fire out of fear for their safety.

The subject sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials shut down the road for their investigation Monday night.
