Big Rig Crash Leads To Fuel Spill, Heavy Delays On I-5 In Elk Grove

ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A heavy fuel spill following a big rig crash is causing heavy delays on the freeway in Elk Grove on Saturday, authorities said.

The crash happened along Interstate 5 just north of Laguna Boulevard, CHP said. Officials said over 100 gallons of fuel spilled in the crash.

The number two and three lanes of the freeway are closed with no estimated time of reopening.

CHP advises using alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
