Man Rescued From American River

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — On Sunday evening, a man was rescued after almost drowning in the American River, said the Sacramento Fire Department.

Around 6:22 p.m., the man walked into the American River and was witnessed going under the water and not resurfacing.

Crews located the man in the water, carried him to shore, and initiated care and transport.

The current condition of the man is unknown.
