SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Firefighters battled a vegetation fire along the American River Trail near Cal Expo on Wednesday.
RIGHT NOW: Vegetation fire near Cal Expo in #Sacramento. We just heard and saw an explosion of some kind, likely propane used to cook/keep warm in unhoused encampment (I spoke to someone who lives here and he told me this info) @CBSSacramento pic.twitter.com/WFv5J5qkE7

A total of 22 acres have burned, Sacramento Metro Fire says. One commercial structure along Hurley Way was threatened by the flames and had to be evacuated, firefighters say.
No injuries have been reported.
Investigators believe the fire was human-caused, with it apparently starting near several homeless encampments.
