Board Of Supervisors Vote Against Cannabis Tax Ballot Initiative For Sacramento County
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A proposal to tax cannabis in Sacramento County will not be going on the November ballot.
The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted against the matter Tuesday night.
If the proposal had passed, it would have allowed the board to approve pot dispensaries throughout unincorporated Sacramento County that could be taxed.
The proceeds would have went to the county's general fund.
