As the saying goes looking good makes you feel good, this couldn’t be more true then when you are
looking for the right work out gear. Wearing the right clothing when you are at the gym or just out for a
run can help you feel better about yourself – and hey it might actually make you want to work out even
more! Here’s our list of best places to buy active wear.

If you’re looking for affordable, comfortable easy options that fit more body types than the traditional “yoga body” than this is your aim. From an online catalogue to their store in Roseville there are options galore. I’m a huge fan of their GapBody basic tee and long sleeve tee’s; they have about 7% spandex and keep a soft, rounded shape – and maintain that shape even after a workout. I’ve often found myself working out, and meeting for coffee all in the same clothes! This is very much transition active wear.

I would say REI is active wear for the serious sportsman or those interested in outdoor fitness. From rain weather sports wear to multiple lines of active wear, REI covers all the bases. One my favorite pieces of active wear is the breathable track jackets with the thumb-holes, these are great as the arm doesn’t slip up and the jacket is form fitting and always keeps it’s shape – REI has a great selection of these, and so much more!

OK so let’s say you’re not looking for just any Yoga pants, or you’re looking for more than just comfortable workout gear? Want something that flatters, doesn’t slip, is long/ short enough, and absorbs sweat without creating huge spots while also breathing right? This is a much more niche category of active wear customer and you should check out Zuda Yoga for the brands they carry, specifically Lulemon– from their occasional sales (that can make this $98 pair of yoga pants worth it alone) or new items, varied selection to experienced staff their selection might be small but worth the look – as it’s all quality.
