Load up the bicycles and bring the kids to Safetyville for evenings of free family fun. There are more than three acres available for biking, and children and adults alike will love biking through the Safetyville mini-city, which is fully enclosed. Many food options are available for purchase, and there is a bike safety clinic held each night at 6:30 p.m. With a name like Safetyville, it is easy to understand why helmets are required for all riders. Specialty vendors are on hand to answer bicycle questions, and guests can purchase helmets and other items if needed.

The Fulton/El Camino Recreation and Park District offers this free outdoor movie night that is fun for the whole family. The movie is the comedy adventure film "Hook," the tale of a now-adult Peter Pan going back to Neverland to rescue the children from the ultimate bad guy, Captain Hook. The popular flick featuring Julia Roberts, Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams will begin at dusk, around 9 p.m. But come early, as there are pre-movie cartoons for the kids at 8:30 p.m. Pack up a picnic to bring along, or buy snacks from concession vendors.

This region is often called "Sacratomato", so a festival in honor of the juicy red globes is a natural. Located in historic downtown Woodland, the event celebrates the crop that brings over $100 million in to Yolo County. The 8th annual celebration includes plenty of fun for all ages. Kids will love the bounce house and face painting; expand both their palates and their interest in gardening by tasting numerous unique varieties of tomatoes. Enjoy shopping, a salsa competition and live music from Whoopie Qat.

The 2015 Gold Country fair brings entertainment and action for the whole family. Live music of nearly every kind will be enjoyed throughout the fair, and concerts will feature performers including Kenny Frye Band, Mumbo Gumbo and Steve Holy. There will be a family fiesta, a parade, Radio Disney's Green Team show, contests and plenty of carnival amusements and rides. Enjoy fair food, and stick around for livestock competitions and auctions, as well as jugglers, puppeteers, magicians and a high-action destruction derby.
