Best Italian Restaurants In Sacramento

Sacramento is a foodie town, and when you think "Italian," you probably think delicious cuisine. Put the two together, and you have some of the best Italian restaurants around. When it comes down to brass tacks, there's a lot of similarities between Italy and California, so it makes sense that good Italian would find a home in the Golden State. Sacramento is filled with the cuisine of that region, and great Italian is right under our noses here. This list provides a range of price, dishes and formalities. Let the pizza, pasta, and regional dishes of Italy fly; you have nothing to lose but your waistline.

Their forte is atmosphere, and Biba has a ton of it. A great wine list and outstanding desserts make this a "must" for Italian cuisine buffs. The staff is very informed, and you can feel their pride in their enthusiasm.

La Trattoria Bohemia

Our special this weekend is an egg pappardelle pasta served with fresh zucchini, squash and red peppers in a creamy basil sauce. The perfect dish for a beautiful summer night.

www.latrattoriabohemia.comNot your typical restaurant set-up, this Italian restaurant doubles as a highly authentic Czech kitchen, too. Their Italian half is easily one of the best around - and their Czech food is pretty good, too - and dining on their porch is simply lovely. Great staff, cheap happy hour wine, and amazing pizza, what more do you need? The gluten free substitutes are fantastic and plentiful on both the Italian and Czech sides of the menu.

It's going to be 100 degrees today so take advantage of THE NEW DEAL! $10 select pizzas, $4 sangria, and $6 32oz. Trumer Pilsner! ALL DAY!

www.federalistpublichouse.comThe Federalist, the newbie on this list, opened this past winter, taking shelter in an modified freight train car. The pizza is to die for, and considering that's all they do, - for now since the menu is always expanding - it makes sense as to why it's so good. Chef Shannon McElroy says they'll be expanding their menu. You can grab a beer or a jar of Kombucha to go with your fare, or you can even play a round of indoor Bocce ball. Be assured, you'll never see anything like this.

Paesanos
1806 Capitol Ave.
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 447-8646

Name that pasta! This long time favorite is still one of our best sellers...

www.paesanos.bizOne of the excellent restaurants on the corner of 18th & Capitol - where dining options are plentiful - this is the lone Italian joint. A great menu with gluten free options (like the squash pasta - very paleo). Pizza, pasta and all your traditional cuisine, this place is tasty and the complimentary grilled bread is the bomb.
