It's that time of year when kids get excited about the festivities of the Easter holiday. Parents spend time shopping, buying the kids new outfits, eggs, candy, toys and goodies to stuff in Easter baskets. Shopping malls are filled with parents and kids, waiting to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Easter holiday is vastly approaching; if you are looking for Easter events in the Sacramento area to enjoy with the kids, takes a look below!

Fairytale Town has been in operation over 50 years in the Sacramento area and offers kids an annual egg-citing Easter holiday. Join in the fun-filled Easter event. Kids will have fun during this spring eggstravanganza, as the little town will have Easter egg hunts, fun activities and Peter Cottontail will be waiting! Yes, waiting to take a picture with the kids. Wait, that's not all, Beauty and the Beast will be preforming in the children's theater. This exciting place is a safe haven for kids. This amusement park is one of Sacramento's excitements for kids. The park will be hosting its annual Easter event for children who are under 12 years old. There will be coloring contests, arts and crafts and, of course, a few of the amusement rides will be operating. The entrance is free but you will have to purchase tickets for the rides and the Easter egg hunt. Are you aware that Funderland and Fairytale Town are close in proximity? Parents, no need to worry about cooking breakfast for the kids because the fun starts with a pancake breakfast. Welcome aboard the Easter Egg Express on Easter weekend. You and the kids will go on a 10-mile ride alone the Sacramento River to a park where the Easter Bunny has hidden eggs. During the ride to the park, the family can purchase hot dogs, sandwiches, drinks, treats and snacks at the snack bar, while enjoying entertainment on the train. Get ready to have fun! This is a three-hour trip and tickets are $36 for adults and $29 for children ages two to 12.

The Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Associate will host its egg hunt on March 30, 2013. The morning will start with a pajama parade, followed by photos with the Easter Bunny and a bag decoration. You can purchase the photo of your kid and the bunny for $5. This is a free event that your kids are sure to enjoy.
