In 2009, more than 1.9 million people benefited from Goodwill’s career services, and more than 155,000 people were placed in jobs. You might be surprised at the deals you can find at Goodwill when you aren’t even looking for them. Hard-to-find movies, CDs, computer accessories, and more can be discovered at a Goodwill store. This chain of stores in a handful of Western states offers gently used merchandise exclusively from its local nonprofit partners. Unlike some thrift stores, Thrift Town doesn’t buy merchandise from individuals who are not among its partners. Thrift Town Thrift Store features a 50 percent off Color Tag Sale every week to make room for the more than 4,000 items that arrive to each store daily.
