Best Valentine's Day Parties For Singles In Sacramento

Valentine's Day doesn't only have to be for couples. Embrace being single this year by celebrating in your own way. There are numerous events happening around Sacramento that cater to the single crowd. And who knows, you might just meet a sweetheart at one of them.

The Un-Valentines Party for Singles will be hosted in Sacramento prior to Valentine's Day. The party/mixer commences at 8 p.m on February 3 and goes until midnight at the Hilton Hotel/Arden West for the brave of heart and dateless. There will be a dance floor with a live DJs, a musical array from the 1970s to present, a no-host bar, party snacks and free parking. Admission is $25 dollars at the door and $15 dollars for prepaid non-members.

Get that heart racing for Valentine's Day. The 10th Annual Valentine Run is sponsored by the Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC). LSNC provides free or low-charge legal services to those in need throughout the northern California. This is a kid friendly, pet friendly, stroller friendly and attorney friendly event. Wear your "hearts" on your sleeve to win the Best Dressed Individual, Best Dressed Kid, Best Dressed Team or Group or Best Dressed Pooch award. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided at the Country Club Plaza Mall on February 9 from 7 a.m. until noon.

It is part of the Sacramento Fun Singles Group which meets at Shenanigans at 705 J Street in Sacramento. The price is $19 dollars per person with a promo code and includes drink specials and free appetizers. One must be at least 25 years old to attend and check-in is at 6:30 p.m. Mix and mingle from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prize drawing at 8:45 p.m.

The weekend following Valentine's Day, Clarksburg's Old Sugar Mill will roll out the red carpet for visitors who wish to indulge in tastings of seven wineries, while enjoying chocolate at the same time. This is a great way to get revenge by spending the day by yourself or to get acquainted with someone with similiar interests, unless you want to spend the day at Starbucks on your computer pretending you are waiting for a date. Price is $25 dollars per person, which includes a wine glass for tasting. The event goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"Casablanca," the original 1942 film, will be showing at the Napa Valley Opera House for Valentine's Day. This is a great escape from town to not only enjoy a great movie but also some of Napa Valley's captivating beauty. Anyone will enjoy strolling through historic downtown with a visitor on their arm or waiting until the evening to find someone else at the Napa Valley Opera House who also enjoys classic films. Come early for an introduction talk prior to the film showing at 6 p.m. There is a café on site for drinks and food, including famous Napa wines. Film admission is $10 and it starts at 7 p.m.
