Sketch Released Of Sexual Assault Suspect

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (CBS13) -- Investigators released a composite sketch of a sexual assault suspect believed to be responsible for an early morning home invasion Monday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said a 50-year-old female was sleeping in her apartment near Vehicle Drive when the unidentified suspect snuck in through an unlocked window.

The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and left through the front door. He has not been apprehended.

The man is described as a Hispanic or light-skinned Black male in his mid 20s, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, with a medium, muscular build.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact Sheriff's sexual assault detectives by calling (916) 874-5115 or contacting Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Text messages can also be sent to 274637 (CRIMES) with "SACTIP" at the beginning of the message.
