Police Hunting Serial Hotel Robber

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Authorities are trying to identify a man believed to be responsible for at least four armed hotel robberies in a single week.

The Sacramento Police Department said the suspect in all of the reported incidents has been described as a male Hispanic adult in his 20s, 150 to 170 pounds, with short black hair, a moustache and a goatee. He may also have a small tattoo under his left eye.

On January 19, a suspect brandished a gun and demanded money from a clerk at the Canterbury Inn on the 1900 block of Canterbury Road, but when the victim ran to a back office, the suspect fled without stealing any cash.

On January 21, the suspect robbed a hotel on the 1700 block of Tribute Road, stealing an unreleased amount of cash.

On January 23, a hotel on the 2900 block of Advantage Way was robbed, and a day later, a hotel on the 200 block of Jibboom Street was also robbed.

Nobody was reported injured in the incidents.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Alert by calling (916) 443-HELP or texting a tip to 274637 with the word "SACTIP" at the beginning of the message. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
