Escaped NorCal Inmate Recaptured

SUISUN CITY, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a 30-year-old inmate who escaped from a camp just outside Suisun City has been recaptured.

State corrections officials announced Friday that Nathan Simpson was taken into custody on Wednesday in Rio Vista.

Simpson, a minimum security inmate, allegedly escaped from the Delta Conservation Camp on Sunday.

Simpson was convicted of vehicle theft with priors from Siskiyou County. He was scheduled to be paroled in September 2011.

Meanwhile, authorities are searching for another inmate they say escaped from Owens Valley Conservation Camp near Bishop in Inyo County on Thursday.

Thirty-seven-year-old Yahua Yang was serving a seven-year sentence after being convicted of possessing a controlled substance for sale in Los Angeles County.
