Search Suspended For Man Missing In Stanislaus River

RIPON (CBS13) – Rescuers have suspended a search for a man missing in the Stanislaus River.

The 20-year-old went under at Caswell State Park in Ripon.

Deputies say he was trying to cross the river when friends saw him go below the surface.

The friends went out on a tube attempting to rescue him but couldn't find him.

Neither could firefighters who called off the search after dark.
