Boy Dies In Shooting Of Six At Clearlake Home

CLEARLAKE, Calif. (AP) -- Police are looking for a "person of interest" in the shooting of six people at a Lake County home that killed a 4-year-old boy.

Officers responded to calls late Saturday night about shot fired at an address near the southeastern shore of Clear Lake. They found six people suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Press-Democrat of Santa Rosa reports that the child was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other five, including a pair of brothers, are expected to survive.

Clearlake police say they're looking for 29-year-old Kevin Stone for questioning in the case.

Sgt. Tom Clements, who runs the investigations team, declined to give details about the shooting or the possible role Stone played. But he did say that none of the victims nor Stone appeared to be gang members.
