Suspicious Device At Folsom Park Turns Out To Be A Bong

FOLSOM (CBS13) – Folsom Police say a suspicious device discovered at a park is a homemade bong for smoking drugs.

A woman walking in the area of Thorndike Park on Thorndike Way and Oxford Way discovered the device just after 1:00 p.m. and called the police.

The device looks like a water jug wrapped in bands of red tape.

The park was taped off and people moved out of harm's way as police and the bomb squad investigated.

Once it was determined that the bong or water pipe was not a bomb, the park was reopened.
