Sacramento Police Say Man's Shooting Death Was Likely A Suicide

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) - Homicide investigators have determined the shooting death of a man overnight in Sacramento was a suicide.

Police were called to a home on 53rd and T Streets about 1:30 a.m. for a reported suicide of a 43-year old man.

But as detectives looked further, they said some circumstances surrounding the death warranted more investigation. Those circumstances included that the victim and his girlfriend had been in an argument prior to the shooting, a suicide note was at first hidden from officers and there were reports of multiple gunshots.

However, after further investigation, homicide detectives say they believe the man's death was indeed likely the result of a homicide.
