SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento cab driver who was beaten, robbed and had his cab stolen overnight is pleading with the community to help find the suspects and to stop these kind of attacks.

A little while later, the man punched Akhtar and then robbed him at gunpoint taking money, a cell phone and his taxi van.
The stolen taxi van is a 2004 Chevrolet Venture with a red roof and taxi cab yellow body with California license plate #8Y52925.
Akhtar and some fellow cab drivers spoke at an informal press conference asking for the public to respect cab drivers.
