SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – D.W. Babcock Elementary School in Sacramento was placed on lockdown after someone reported a man with a gun was at nearby Babcock Park, according to the Twin Rivers Police Department.

Police say they received a call from a woman saying her sister’s boyfriend was at the park and had a gun. Officers searched for the suspect, but couldn’t find him.

The school and the park have been cleared and the school is no longer on lockdown, say police.

The school is located at 2400 Cormorant Way.

Why do you use prison terms ‘lock-down’ when refering to schools? Is it possible you can do your own thinking and not follow like a sheep? Try it, it won’t hurt. You do us all a disservice wake up to the real world. Schools aren’t prisons.
