Man Arrested For Beating Of Elderly Man
MODESTO (CBS13) -- Detectives arrested a man for the brutal beating of an elderly man in a shopping center a week before Christmas after he allegedly admitted to the attack, authorities said.
The Modesto Police Department said 21-year-old Keith Patrick Tyler-Parker implicated himself in the assault and robbery of a 66-year-old victim near a restaurant at the North Point Landing Shopping Center on December 17.
Surveillance video showed the suspect attacking the older man from behind and fleeing with money and valuables, leaving the victim with bruises and a possible concussion.
After determining that the suspect fled in a green Ford pick-up truck, detectives identified Tyler-Parker as a potential suspect and brought him in for questioning on December 28.
Tyler-Parker is facing charges of robbery and elder abuse.
