Two masked and armed robbers hit the Carl’s Jr. on Folsom Boulevard early this morning.  The same store was hit three weeks ago at exactly the same time.

A District Manager for Carl’s Jr. says he believes the same criminals are responsible for both crimes and for a third robbery at another Carl’s Jr. nearby just before Christmas.

Police will only say they are looking into whether the three robberies are connected.

The suspect descriptions in the robberies are similar:  Hispanic men in their early 20’s wearing bandanas and hoodies.

But it was what was on their feet that has the District Manager convinced the robberies were an inside job.

The manager says a current employee recognized one of the suspect’s shoe during this morning’s robbery.  He says surveillance video showing the shoes has been matched to a picture on the Facebook profile of someone who used to work at the restaurant.
