2nd Suspect Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Modesto Teen Killed Protecting Mom

MODESTO (CBS13) - Detectives have arrested a second suspect in the fatal shooting of a Modesto teen.

Marty Kent, 17, was gunned down in front of his home Jan. 2, and died in his father's arms. His mother said Kent took a bullet intended for her.

Thursday morning, homicide detectives arrested 33-year-old Demaris Hunter in connection to the shooting.

Detectives previously interviewed Hunter early in their investigation, and arrested the Modesto resident after obtaining more information regarding his involvement.
