(CBS13) – First responders were not the only ones to quickly act Monday after the tragic explosions at the annual Boston Marathon — scammers were as well.
Twitter has suspended a fake Boston Marathon account (@_BostonMarathon) asking for re-tweets. And in exchange, it says it would make a $1 donation to the victims of Monday’s explosions. The fake account received more than 50,000 re-tweets and was favored more than 800 times before the microblogging website suspended the account.
