Stockton School Locked Down After Former Student Pointed Pellet Gun At School
STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton school went into lockdown on Tuesday after a teacher spotted a former student pointing a gun at the campus.
After a search starting around 8 a.m. near Cleveland Elementary School, the teen was found with a pellet gun he said he bought from an ice cream truck.
Parents like Angela Cao heard the news and drove by the campus while school district police investigated.
"Obviously when you hear something like that you get a little scared," she said. "Your heart drops, because you send your child to school, and they are supposed to be safe."
Her 9-year-old son, Brennan Marca, remained calm during the lockdown, and because of drills, he knew exactly what to do.
"We had to go under all the extra desks in the corner," he said.
The former student was arrested a few blocks away and showed officers where he stashed the gun.
