SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Downtown Sacramento’s outdoor music festival “Concerts in the Park” is starting up again.

The event will take place every Friday at Cesar Chavez Plaza from May 2-July 25.

ZuhG, the Nickel Slots, Idea Team and Rock & Rhyme will be kicking off this Friday’s season opener. The concert will run from about 5-9 p.m.

Along with the music at Cesar Chavez Plaza, official after parties organized by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership are scheduled at Assembly, Blackbird Kitchen+Bar, Blue Prynt, Downtown & Vine and Marilyn’s on K.

As always, the concerts are free. Organizers say about 5,500 people attend each event.
